European Commission introduces its work program 2007 to Euro MP’s

The president of the European Commission, José Manuel Barosso, introduced, during the plenary session of the European Parliament, on November 14th, 2006, the working program of the European Commission for 2007. It includes : flexicurity, codification of the framework directive of 1989 on health-safety and revision of the « Transfers of undertakings » directive. (Ref 061146)

This work program focuses on 21 strategic initiatives. « The Commission promises to implement them all next year, and they will not be evaluated at mid-course », declared José Manuel Barosso, who also renewed the commitment to preserve social solidarity, notably by creating the European Globalization Adjustment Fund.
