According to the agreement concluded on March 6, 2006 between the management of Ford Werke and the work’s council (Betriebsrat) of the car manufacturer, Ford promises to produce the next generations of Fiesta and Fusion models in Cologne (18000 employees) and to maintain the production of the new Ford Focus in Sarrelouis (6400 employees), thus guaranteeing employment on these two sites until 2011.
The agreement, which concerns 24000 employees, makes it possible to preserve employment until 2011
