An agreement signed at the end of July by the electricity company Enel (31,000 employees) and the unions Filctem-Cgil, Flaei-Cisl, and Uiltec is pioneering in the Italian energy sector. It aims to combine "innovation, skills enhancement, and job protection," particularly through social dialogue and training, also involving the subcontractor network.
The strengthening of social dialogue to manage the digital transition is at the heart of the agreement reached on July 20 by the electricity company Enel. A joint committee on technological evolution and artificial intelligence has thus been created: composed of six employee representatives and six company executives, it will have a central role in evaluating AI projects and examining their potential impacts on work organization, jobs, professional profiles, or safety.
