The management of the GeoPost group (20.000 employees) which gathers the express parcel subsidiaries of the group La Poste present in 30 European countries (Chronopost International, DPD...), achieved the negotiation of an agreement for the establishment of a European works council with the Special negotiating body (SNB). The draft agreement is currently up for signature. (Ref. 080738)
The agreement defines the EWC as “a structure for consultation, exchange of views and dialogue.” It is competent on transnational issues, i.e. issues which affect “either all companies included within the field of application, or at least two sites or undertakings located in two different countries.”
Composition. The number of employee representatives may not exceed the 25-member limit (not including observing members, such as the current Swiss representative). The delegation includes one member
