Italy: launching the referendum on the social protocol

Over 50.000 general assemblies, some of them stormy, took place throughout Italy in preparation for the referendum, which started yesterday and will end on October 10, on the social protocol signed by employers' and union organizations last July 23 (see our article No.070660) over 30.000 polling stations are thus open, to "carry out the widest consultation possible" on the draft reform on pensions and fighting against precariousness.
