The innovations. The reform figuring under the new Title VI-bis of DLgs 626/694, is very close to the European directive:

  • It lowers the value limit to 0.1 fibres /cm3 over a period of 8 hours, sole criterion valid for all types of asbestos.
  • It provides for occupational medicine control which, hitherto practised on an annual basis, may henceforth be every three years in accordance with the directive which specifies no maximum frequency.
