Netherlands : negotiations over the ex-employees of KLM who now work for Altys

Negotiations shall open on August 4 between the independent trade union De Unie, the airline company KLM-Air France and Sodexho Altys on the social repercussions of a transfer of activity with maintenance of employment contracts. (Ref. 06789)

The negotiations relate to social repercussions triggered by the subcontracting some of KLM’s activities (maintenance of buildings and staff canteens) which were entrusted in August 2005 to Altys, a subsidiary company of the French group Sodexho. The aim of KLM was to save between 29 and 43 million euros each year.
