An unexpected postponement. The Portuguese government has settled the issue: the debate in the National Assembly will not take place before September (see article n° 080538). The announcement of this postponement is unexpected. In fact, the government had obtained adoption by the Parliament of a measure permitting the reduction from 30 to 20 days the period of reflexion between the signing of the project on June 25 and its discussion in the Assembly. Questions of a technical character on the final drafting of the text are alleged to justify the postponement.
