The news. On 15 April, in Slovakia, the National Council (the lower house) adopted the draft bill transposing the EU Pay Transparency Directive. It was subsequently promulgated on 23 April by President Peter Pellegrini. The text will enter into force on the European deadline, 7 June 2026, regarding recruitment-related provisions. Companies are required to implement gender-neutral pay structures compliant with European criteria (responsibility, effort, working conditions, skills) by 31 July. The
