Suez: agreement on social guarantees for Suez Group employees

Since all the prior requirements to the vote by Gaz de France and Suez's general assemblies on the merger were met, Suez's management and the social partners signed, on June 17, 2008, an agreement on social guarantees for Suez Group employees. Negotiated several months ago, the text mostly provides guarantees for the employees of Suez Environment, which is going to be put on the stock exchange. (Ref. 080515)

The agreement was signed between the management, the European works council (European Consultative Committee – ECC) and French and European trade union organizations (CFDT, CFE-CGC, CFTC, CGT, FO for France and the European Trade Union Confederation and the European Confederation of Managers). It is a response to “to the concerns of the ECC members and take into account the interests of the group’s employees.”
