Representatives of the United Auto Workers, the automotive sector trade union, have just won their first victory in the sector of electric vehicle batteries. Employees of Ultium, a Ohio-based joint venture between General Motors and South Korea’s LG Energy Solution, voted overwhelmingly in favour of the union last week, with 710 cast votes in favour and 16 against.
