On 22 May, the Japanese convenience store chain Lawson (14,656 stores, turnover of US$5.5 billion in 2020) strengthened the partnership with Muji, already distributed in 110 stores since June 2020.

The 5,000 Lawson stores in Eastern Japan should be the first to be stocked. By the end of 2023, a range of 200 Muji articles will be available in every Lawson store. The two players also plan to offer customised products. Lawson has high expectations of the partnership: it said
