TU and Suora want to merge to create the largest trade union of executive and clerical staff. TU and Suora (finance, insurance, alcohol trade and games of chance employees) should merge. The two organizations, member of STTK, signed an agreement to create a new union which should be fully operation in early 2011. The objective of the merger is to optimize resources and strengthen the position of STTK unions. Suora represents 31,000 people. The new organization, the name of which will be revealed later, should have over 150,000 members.
