France: employers and unions open “ambitious” talks on the labor market reform

Tight schedule.  This first one-hour meeting was only about the schedule.  The CGT, CFDT, FO, CFTC and CFE-CGC unions and the Medef, CGPME, and UPA employers’ organizations will get to the heart of the matter – securing employment – on October 4.  Then, they will meet every Thursday.  For the other negotiations, on the planned generational employment contracts, they will also meet every Friday starting on September 21.
