mproving health and safety at its factory, the Italian carmaker, Fiat, signed, on June 16, 2009, in Turin, with the sector’s unions Fim-Cisl, Fiom-CGIL, Uilm-Uil and Fismic an innovative agreement establishing a special training program dedicated to security at work. The pilot project will at first affect 1,200 workers in six northern factories. Depending on the results, it will then be extended to all the Italian factories of the group between 2010 and 2011.
