Gathered in Rome on July 19-20, the central committee of the Fiom elected its new national secretariat. The latter is composed of Maurizio Landini – general secretary and signatory of the document establishing internal opposition within the CGIL (see our dispatch No. 100552), Laura Spezia, Giorgio Airaudo (Turin Fiom), and Sergio Bellavita (Parma Fiom). They replace Giorgio Cremaschi and Gianni Rinaldini, whose term came to an end. However, Giorgio Cremaschi was elected chairman of the central committee.
