In spite of three separate platforms, the Filcem-CGIL, Femca-Cisl and Uilcem-Uil unions and the Federazione Gomma Plastica and Associazione Italiana Ricostruzione Pneumatici (AIRP) employers’ organizations reached, on March 18th, a unitary agreement for the renewal of the national collective agreement in rubber and plastic, which expired on December 31, 2009. Valid between January 1, 2010 and December 31, 2012, it affects 130,000 employees from over 2,500 businesses, including SMEs or the sector’s giants, such as Pirelli, Michelin, Bridgestone, Azimut, or Prismyan Cavi. This agreement will be subject to employees’ approval by April 10, 2010, so the CCN can start applying next month.
