Spain : commentary on the agreement signed on social security reform

The entitlement to the retirement pension (contributory). In order to strengthen the contributory principle, is has been agreed that the number of qualifying days of contribution needed to obtain a retirement contributory pension be raised from the current 4700 to 5475. The implementation of the raise will be timed over a period of five years, so that every six months in this period there will be a raise of approximately 77 days.
