ThyssenKrupp Steel : an agreement with IG Metall guarantees the taking on of the 18,000 workers

 (*) The function of « Arbeitsdirektor » is fixed by joint managment laws in the iron and steel branch (Montanbstimmungen). Appointed by the supervisory board with the riquired agreement of the staff representative, he represents the interest of the employees within the board of directors.

« Seven years of security » proudly proclaims the issue of July 2006 of the « Stahlnachrichten » (Steel news), the newspaper of the IG Metall section of the Northern Rhineland-Westphalia, made for ThyssenKrupp Steel’s salaried workers, iron and steel subsidiary company of the German comglomerate.
