The January 20, 2007 Royal Decree strengthened the protection of workers exposed to chemical agents. This text is confirming the obligation the employer has to carry out an analysis of the risks and to take general and specific preventive measures. (Ref. 070271)
The new Royal Decree specifies that the assessment and the evaluation of risks must be set in a written document. If the employer judges the evaluation as unnecessary, a written explanation will have to be submitted to the prior opinion of the Committee Prevention and Protection at Work (CPPW, mandatory in companies employing at least 50 people).
