The European parliament adopted on June 20 in a first reading its report on the portability of rights to complementary pension. Eurodeputies are in harmony with the governments negotiating within the Ministers' Council in the same time: to connect acquisition conditions for pension rights and to enable the maintaining of the valued acquired rights in the system in the event of a change in employer. On this last point, the European Parliament introduced dispositions aiming at protecting these "dormant rights" better and insured people's rights. (Ref. 070551)
Field of application. Supplementary pension schemes (group insurance contracts, system of distribution concluded by several branches, capitalization system or a pension promise guaranteed by provisions to companies’ balance) with the exception of system which no longer accept new members or those in a state of insolvency.
