The Paris court of appeal confirmed in the night of November 21-22, 2006 the decision of the judge for summary proceedings in the Paris court of first instance to postpone the GDF board of directors’ meeting, thereby entailing the suspension of the 2006 merger procedure between GDF and Suez. Consequently, doubt is cast over a merger operation on the ground of failure to respect the information and consultation procedure of the EWC of GDF.
