According to a poll among 8000 firms, 90% of continental companies award their employees flexitime against 48% in the UK. Only one firm in five, half the figure in Germany or Denmark, gives its personnel the possibility of working from home. “It locks people into a culture of fixed hours and attendance in the workplace” asserts the Commission report.
