Six months after the beginning of advertising in the US and two months after a British launch, OpenAI announced its arrival on August 24, 2026 in 30 European countries : Germany, Spain, Italy, France, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Netherlands, Austria, etc. Advertising takes the form of native contextualised blocks displayed directly below the LLM’s response, with the label “Sponsored”.
